Free client galleries
A free client gallery, and what each free plan holds.
“Free” on the pricing page. Then the client asks where the video is.
A free client gallery is fine for a real job when it allows client work, holds the files you shoot, and doesn’t hold back what your client needs to do. Read on each one’s own pricing page on October 29, 2026, the free plans are far apart. DropYourFiles Free holds 5 GB and 1 hour of video, with every feature, and needs no card.
Free up to 5 GB. No card.
What your client does on the link.
Your client watches
Your client opens the link on a phone or a computer and watches the film, with the photos right beside it. No account, no app to install.
Your client points at what to change
Your client pauses and types, and the note sticks to that second of the film. On a photo or a PDF page, your client taps the exact spot, and can draw on it.
Your client approves
When it’s right, your client presses Approve and confirms once. The watermark comes off. On a job with photos and film, your client can approve each one separately.
Your client downloads the finals
The full-size files open for download on the same link, one by one or all at once. You don’t send anything new.
What each free plan holds.
Pixieset Free
3 GB, no video, Pixieset branding on the gallery, and a 15% commission on store sales.
Pic-Time Free
10 GB of photos, reduced to 3 GB after 3 months, and 1 GB of video. Pic-Time branding stays until the Professional plan.
ShootProof Free
100 photos and no video.
SmugMug and Zenfolio
No free plan. Each offers a free trial instead.
DropYourFiles Free
5 GB and 1 hour of video for one login, with every feature: notes at a timecode, pins on photos, approval, watermarks, passwords and full-size downloads. Your name at the top of your client’s page.
Four things to check before a real job.
Client work is allowed
Read the plan’s terms. WeTransfer’s free plan, for one, is for non-commercial use, which rules out client jobs.
The video fits
One wedding film or brand film can fill a small free plan by itself. Check whether video is counted, and in what.
Whose name your client sees
On some free plans the gallery carries the company’s brand. Check what your client sees before you send it.
What happens when you outgrow it
Here, if you go over the free room, new uploads stop until you make room or upgrade. Nothing is deleted, and your client’s link keeps working.
If you sell prints.
There’s no print store here. If prints are most of your income, a photo gallery with a lab built in is the better free start, and Pixieset and Pic-Time both have one.
Questions.
What is the best free client gallery for photographers?
For photos with print sales, Pixieset’s and Pic-Time’s free plans include a store. For photos and film together, with notes on both, DropYourFiles Free holds 5 GB and 1 hour of video with every feature. Read on each pricing page on October 29, 2026.
Is there a free client gallery with video?
Yes. Pic-Time’s free plan has 1 GB of video, and DropYourFiles Free has 1 hour. Pixieset’s and ShootProof’s free plans have none.
What happens when I go over the free plan here?
New uploads, new projects and new links stop until you make room or upgrade. Nothing is deleted, and your client’s link keeps working.
Does my client need an account?
No. Your client opens the link in any browser, on a phone or a computer, and types a name the first time they leave a note. There’s nothing to sign up for and no app to install.
