Client notes, as Final Cut markers.
Paste the notes your client sent, with their times. Download one file, and each note lands on its frame in Final Cut Pro as a to-do marker you tick off.
Paste your client’s notes above and each one with a time becomes a marker.
Your notes stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded or kept.
Questions.
What does the file do in Final Cut Pro?
It brings in one clip, the length of your film, that shows nothing in the picture and carries every note as a red to-do marker at its time. You paste that clip over your cut as a connected clip. Each marker has a checkbox, so the round of notes empties as you work.
How should the times be written?
Any way your client wrote them: 0:41, 1:02:41, or a full timecode with frames like 00:00:41:12. The time can be at the start of the line or in the middle of it. Lines without a time are listed and left out.
What is “Timeline starts at” for?
If your notes use your timeline’s timecode and it starts at 01:00:00:00, put that here and the markers line up with it. Notes written as time into the film, like 0:41, are counted from the start either way.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The notes stay in your browser and the file is made there. There is no account and nothing is kept.
Does it work with Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?
Not yet. This file is for Final Cut Pro.
When the notes come in by themselves.
In DropYourFiles, your client leaves notes on the film from a link, on a phone or a computer, with no account. Each note keeps its frame, so there are no times to type, and you download them for Final Cut the same way. How it works with Final Cut
